Ali is engaged in three other organizations that build community and foster conversation between Palestinians and Israelis in service of securing durable peace and security in the region.

Taghyeer (Change) Palestinian National Nonviolence Movement is a network of grassroots communities and emerging leaders practicing and promoting nonviolence as a unifying identity for the Palestinian people. Taghyeer aims to build democratic and independent communities who have the strength to forge together a Palestinian path committed to ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Karama (Dignity) Peace Center, located in the Gush Etzion Junction surrounded by six Israeli settlements, is an incubator for peace activism. Karama Peace Center is the only physical space supporting settlers and Palestinians working together at the individual, organizational, spiritual levels. Karama serves as the home base of the Roots initiative and hosts everyone from the PLO to new Israeli Defense Force members, joining in conversation and community with the Palestinian people.

Roots is a unique bi-national initiative with a network of Israeli residents of the Gush Etzion area and Palestinians from neighboring towns and villages who have come to see each other as the partners who both need to make changes to end the conflict. Roots’ mission is to enhance dialogue, transformation and bridge-building and it is based on a mutual recognition of each People’s connection to the Land.
